Intelsat has agreed to purchase $250 million worth of services from Eutelsat Group's OneWeb low Earth orbit constellation over six years to expand the former's multi-orbit satellite connectivity offering. The agreement also includes an option to buy additional OneWeb LEO constellation service for another $250 million to increase the global coverage and capacity of Intelsat's network connectivity, the telecommunications service provider said Tuesday.

Rite-Solutions has secured a five-year, $60.7 million prime contract to deliver information technology support services for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center’s Activity Chief Information Officer/IT Division. Intelsat CEO David Wajsgras recently said that his company is considering an investment in a medium-Earth orbit constellation and intends to make a decision regarding the effort before the end of the second quarter.
