The Federal Railroad Administration and Ensco have renovated FRA's research, testing and training facility in Colorado to include additional facilities designed to support virtual training on rail and surface transportation system safety and security. The Transportation Technology Center now features six new classrooms with the latest virtual training technologies, including instructor microphones, headsets and backdrops, to accommodate an online learning environment. Boeing's Millennium Space Systems subsidiary reached operational readiness of its Victus Nox space vehicle 11 hours ahead of schedule. The space vehicle completed checkout and achieved full mission operability 37 hours after it was launched on Sept. 14 at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. More

Barry Duplantis, vice president and general manager of the North American public sector at Mattermost, said Tuesday that organizations, including the military, fail to maximize the value of their data because they lack the right tool. Duplantis said in a column posted on the Mattermost blog that organizations typically use over 200 applications, resulting in data silos, stifled productivity and the inability of team members to see the complete picture. Dave Jungkind, former vice president at the SEAKR Engineering arm of RTX's Raytheon business, has been named the first chief revenue officer of Advanced Space, a Westminister, Colorado-based provider of space technology offerings.
