The Department of Defense’s artificial intelligence office has put out a call for three new opportunities for industry collaboration. The requests for proposals were posted to Tradewinds earlier this month and all center upon responsible AI usage, said Dr. Matthew Johnson, senior technical advisor at the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office.

Analysts at the National Security Agency are using an artificial intelligence-powered platform from AI company Primer to look for cyberattackers and understand leaks of classified data before these cause harm to U.S. citizens. Officials with the company said their AI-based platform helps analysts detect indicators of cyberthreats across social media, monitor tech capabilities and influence operations of adversaries and track weapons and illicit finance.

The military vehicle manufacturing business of General Dynamics has been awarded by the U.S. Army a contract to support Stryker brigade combat teams. Under the $210.3 million deal, General Dynamics Land Systems will provide parts for SBCTs, along with shipment, warehousing, configuration management, repair, obsolescence management and disposal services, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
