Robert Geckle Jr., CEO of Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, said during the 2023 Global Aerospace Summit on Sept. 16 that his company is investing in its manufacturing capability in the United States to address the demand for low-Earth orbit satellites brought on by the Space Development Agency's Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture constellation program. Speaking at a panel moderated by Defense & Aerospace Report, Geckle described the PWSA program as "the box office hit from a demand signals standpoint" and touted his company's "proud heritage of mass production of constellations," a capability that can be expanded and enhanced to meet the requirements of national security. The Department of the Interior has awarded ICF a potential five-year, $30 million blanket purchase agreement to update the training systems of the National Wildfire Coordinating Group. Additionally, the global consulting and technology services provider will assist in developing incident position standards for wildland firefighters under the single-award BPA. More
Carahsoft Technology has agreed to offer Aqua Security's cloud-native security product to the government sector through Amazon Web Services' digital marketplace. Aqua Security is now included in Carasoft's Distributor Seller of Record program, which makes software products available in the AWS Marketplace for public sector customers. More

The Federal Railroad Administration and Ensco have renovated FRA's research, testing and training facility in Colorado to include additional facilities designed to support virtual training on rail and surface transportation system safety and security. The Transportation Technology Center now features six new classrooms with the latest virtual training technologies, including instructor microphones, headsets and backdrops, to accommodate an online learning environment. Boeing's Millennium Space Systems subsidiary reached operational readiness of its Victus Nox space vehicle 11 hours ahead of schedule.
