David Kapusta has been selected to serve as executive vice president of integration of Xcelerate Solutions. In this role, he will guide the company’s merger with VMD Corp and promote a shared strategy and consolidated operations, resources and capabilities, Xcelerate announced from McLean, Virginia on Tuesday.

Parry Labs will work to deliver software and mission system hardware for the P550 uncrewed aircraft system under a teaming agreement with AeroVironment. AV said Monday that the P550, which is being developed for the U.S. Army Long Range Reconnaissance program, was designed with a Modular Open Systems Approach, in which Parry Labs is a leader.

L3Harris Technologies will continue supplying Enhanced Night Vision Goggle – Binocular units to the U.S. Army under a $256 million contract. The company said Monday the award signifies the commencement of full-scale production for the ENVG-B program.

Google Cloud will offer its new courses and certifications in generative artificial intelligence, data analytics and cybersecurity to the Department of the Treasury's current and future workforce. Karen Dahut, CEO of Google Public Sector and a 2024 Wash100 awardee, said in a blog post published Tuesday that the company's partnership with the Treasury is part of the latter's efforts to drive a skills-based approach to talent acquisition and expand the federal government's access to a broader technology talent pool.

Alexandra Guenther, formerly program vice president for the civil operation of the Antarctic support contract at Leidos, has been appointed as the company’s chief information officer. Carly Kimball, executive VP and chief performance officer at Leidos, announced the appointment on LinkedIn Sunday.

Pragyansmita Nayak, chief data scientist at Hitachi Vantara Federal, said federal agencies should adopt data fabrics to derive actionable insights from large volumes of data to drive mission outcomes and improve citizen services. “Data fabric architectures integrate disparate data sources into a unified, scalable, and well-governed infrastructure to fuel mission outcomes in an accessible way,” Nayak wrote in an opinion piece published Monday.

Engineering, programmatic and technical support services provider DCS Corp. has received a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract from the U.S. Navy to address challenges related to naval visible, electro-optic/infrared advanced intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems and technology. Work under the contract covers research and development concerning the generation and use of radiation in the wavelength region between near-ultraviolet and far-infrared wavelengths, the Department of Defense said Monday.

IT and cybersecurity company Telos Corporation has opened two new Transport Security Administration PreCheck enrollment and renewal locations in Florida. The TSA PreCheck program works to expedite security screenings at U.S. airports for enrollee travelers, who enjoy a variety of benefits, including not having to remove shoes, belts and light jackets at checkpoints, Telos said Monday.

IT consulting and services provider IT Concepts has appointed Jim Stein as vice president of national defense. IT Concepts said on LinkedIn that in his new role, Stein will be responsible for leading the company's U.S. Air Force and Defense Intelligence Agency teams, and in so doing help grow the company's presence in the Department of Defense.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has named woman-owned professional services firm Dignari an awardee of the Enterprise Small Business Blanket Purchase Agreement under the professional services track. Dignari said Monday that through the BPA, CBP will gain access to a variety of professional services the company offers, including portfolio, program and project management; acquisition management; business and technology transformation; and logistics and asset management.

Guidehouse has booked a $12 billion U.S. Air Force contract to provide systems engineering and integration services for an intercontinental ballistic missile program. Under this 18-year award, Guidehouse will service the Minuteman III – the USAF’s current land-based ICBM – and its replacement, the Sentinel, the Chicago, Illinois-based company said on Monday.

Leidos has secured a six-year, $55.3 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from the U.S. Navy to provide operations support services for the Carderock Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center. The Department of Defense said Friday Leidos will offer logistics, maintenance, operations and program management assistance supporting Navy and Marine signature silencing programs for naval ships and undersea systems at the Southeast Alaska Measurement Facility.
