Lauren Knausenberger, deputy chief information officer for the Department of the Air Force, has received the most coveted honor in all of government contracting (GovCon) for her leadership and drive for innovation to advance the service branch’s information technology (IT) modernization efforts and overall digital transformation of the USAF’s technical capabilities.
Gen. John Raymond, chief of space operations at the U.S. Space Force, has been inducted into the 2021 Wash100 for driving modernization priorities and digital strategy to provide economic and national security to our nation. The recognition marks the second consecutive Wash100 Award Raymond has received.
Lauren Knausenberger has been appointed as the U.S. Air Force deputy chief information officer (CIO) to lead the service branch's enterprise IT policy and management office, succeeding Bill Marion, who retired from the Air Force as deputy CIO in April 2020. As deputy CIO, Knausenberger will command the SAF/CN office, leading the department's enterprise IT, cybersecurity and digital transformation initiatives.
