Northrop Grumman Selects Bechtel to Support GBSD Under $13.3B Contract

Bechtel National, the U.S. government contracting subsidiary of Bechtel, has been selected by Northrop Grumman to help deliver the U.S. Ground Based Strategic Deterrent System (GBSD) of intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) and develop infrastructure for the U.S. Air Force, Bechtel reported on Thursday. In support of Northrop Grumman’s 8.5-year, $13.3 billion contract, Bechtel will provide launch infrastructure design and construction.

SAIC Wins $79M Task Order to Support USAF Supply Chain; Michael LaRouche Quoted

Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) has been awarded a five-year, $79 million task order by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to deliver mission engineering services to the 414th Supply Chain Management Squadron’s Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) LGM-30 Minuteman III missile system, the company reported on Tuesday. SAIC will provide end-to-end product support and sustainment solutions.

Boeing-Led Team Conducts Missile Defense System Dual Interceptor Test

A Boeing-led industry team and the Missile Defense Agency launched two ground-based interceptors to counter an intercontinental ballistic missile target during a test of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense system. Boeing said Monday one interceptor zeroed in on the ICBM target in space and the second GBI observed the intercept before homing in on additional debris as part of the “two-shot salvo” engagement test.
