Harris, L3 All-Stock Merger Completed to Form L3Harris Technologies; Christopher Kubasik, William Brown Quoted

The all-stock merger between L3 Technologies and Harris Corp. has been completed to form L3Harris Technologies (LHX), the new company announced on Monday. L3Harris is officially the sixth largest defense company in the United States worth approximately $17 billion in revenue with over 50,000 employees. Textron, Army Test Updated Shadow UAS Configuration

Textron has finished test flights of a newly configured multimission unmanned aircraft system slated to join the U.S. Army fleet sometime in 2020, Aviation International News reported Monday. Shadow's Block III tests occurred at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico over a five-week period. The configuration includes a new engine, an updated video payload from L3 Technologies' Wescam business and advanced communications technology.

General Atomics, L3 Demo SIGINT Tech on Remotely Piloted Aircraft

General Atomics' aeronautical systems business and L3 Technologies have demonstrated a full-band signals intelligence technology developed for use on a medium-altitude long-endurance remotely piloted aircraft platform. The MQ-9 Predator B RPA carried a pod with SIGINT tools during a test that took place last month in Yuma, Ariz., the companies said in a joint statement released Monday.
