James Reagan: Leidos More Interested in Products Companies
James Reagan, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Leidos, has said the company is more interested in buying products companies than services providers, Inside Defense reported Tuesday. “We don't need more of what we've got. … The things that we're looking for to build the company inorganically would be the kind of company with both a services and product differentiator,†he told analysts during the company’s earnings call Tuesday.

DISA Includes Solers in $7.5B Systems Engineering Support IDIQ
Solers has won a spot on the unrestricted track of the Defense Information Systems Agency's potential 10-year, $7.5B multiple-award contract for systems engineering, innovation and technology services. The Department of Defense said Wednesday DISA initially announced in January the awardees for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract's unrestricted pool, in which 14 companies secured positions.

Bloomberg has selected Leidos for the media company's 2019 Gender-Equality Index in recognition of its efforts to observe transparency in gender reporting and support for the female workforce. GEI evaluates corporate gender equality based on company statistics, employee policies, external community engagement and gender-conscious offerings, Leidos said Wednesday.

Keith Johnson of Leidos and Brett McMillen of Amazon Web Services discussed in an article published Tuesday on Federal News Network about cybersecurity and technology platforms that could be used by government agencies to address cyber vulnerabilities.
