Maxar Technologies has reported more than 200 subscribers for its cloud-based geospatial service that provides access to high-resolution satellite imagery for monitoring and mapping activities.
Tony Frazier, executive vice president of global field operations at Maxar Technologies and a four-time Wash100 awardee, said the company uses commercial technology advancements to help the U.S. government manage national security operations and address various threats from near peer competitors, the ongoing global health crisis and extreme weather events.
Maxar Technologies has been awarded a potential eight-year, $49 million, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract by the U.S. Army Geospatial Center to deliver portable, direct-downlink tactical ground systems that will provide critical geospatial intelligence to users in remote locations. The contract includes two initial task orders worth a combined $8 million.
Maxar Technologies' Vricon subsidiary and Immersive Wisdom have partnered to integrate a remote geospatial collaboration technology and 3D data in a bid to help military customers plan and execute missions.
