Navy Picks Teams for Phase II Autonomous Combat Maneuver Tech Challenge

Navy selects eight Phase II teams for small maneuvers exercise.

The U.S. Navy has commenced the second phase of a challenge focused on utilizing autonomous technology for small unit maneuver missions. Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division, the NavalX Midwest Tech Bridge and the Office of Naval Research selected eight teams to compete for the $250,000 prize as part of the  Artificial Intelligence for Small Unit Maneuvers Prize Challenge, NSWC Crane said Monday.

Secmation Secures Navy Funding for Development of Modular Cybersecure UAS Platform


Secmation received $1 million in funds from the Office of Naval Research through the second phase of the Small Small Business Innovation Research program to develop a modular cybersecure suite for unmanned aerial vehicles. SecMUAS is designed to help users implement security features into UAV units via the use of a rapid software development capability, the company said Wednesday.
