Jeh Johnson, a partner at law firm Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and former secretary at the Department of Homeland Security, has been appointed to offer advice and counsel to Vienna, Virginia-based private equity firm Enlightenment Capital. Johnson will rely on his over 30-year public and private sector experience to provide legal assistance to the Enlightenment Capital as part of the engagement agreement, the firm said Tuesday.
Veritas Capital has moved to acquire Perspecta for $7.1 billion and plans to combine the latter to its portfolio company Peraton to expand its position in the government technology market. Perspecta has entered into a definitive agreement for the all-cash transaction.
