Avaya‘s government solutions business will deploy its Fabric Connect technology at McConnell Air Force Base in Kansas in support of that military facility’s efforts to modernize its network architecture.

The company said Tuesday Fabric Connect utilizes IEEE-standard shortest-path bridging protocols as it operates in response to changing conditions and network traffic.

Susan Keys, a vice president at Avaya Government Solutions, said the technology is built as a “stealth network” and protected from potential cyber attacks.

Fabric Connect is also designed to be reconfigurable and works to manage operations and maintenance demand, increase network availability and facilitate load sharing functions.
