Leanne Caret, president and CEO of Boeing’s defense, space and security business, will receive the Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz Award from the Navy League of the United States in recognition of her contribution to the maritime sector and efforts to build up national security, American Security Today reported Thursday.

Jack London, executive chairman and chairman of the board at CACI International, is set to present the award to Caret Monday, April 9, at a luncheon as part of the Navy League’s Sea-Air-Space Exposition to be held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.

Caret, a 2018 Wash100 recipient and a nearly three-decade Boeing veteran, became president of the BDS segment in March 2016 after serving as head of that segment’s global services and support business.

Established in 1902, the Navy League is a nonprofit organization that provides educational and civilian support to the Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard and Merchant Marine.
