Boeing has awarded Aitech Group's defense systems business a contract to provide mission interface systems for the U.S. Navy's MQ-25 unmanned aerial refueling program.

Aitech said in a May press release it will also supply a customized remote input/output interface controller to Boeing. which is producing drone tankers as part of a $805M Navy contract awarded in August 2018.

Moshe Tal, CEO of North American operations at Aitech, said engineering and manufacturing development of the MQ-25 test aircraft "requires precision electronics and close-knit cooperation among the companies involved.”

The Navy intends for the program to reach initial operational capability status by 2024.
