Raytheon Gets Navy Contract Option for Airborne Mine Neutralization Tech - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Raytheon has received a $7M contract modification to manufacture, assemble and test airborne mine neutralization systems designed to help the U.S. Navy counter moored and bottom mines.

Naval Sea Systems Command exercised an option under a firm-fixed-price contract awarded in 2017 and will obligate $6.6M in “other” procurement funds for fiscal 2018 and 2019 at the time of award, the Department of Defense said Friday.

The company will also provide engineering and support services and carry out work through December 2021 in Portsmouth, R.I.

AMNS is usually fielded from the MH-60 helicopter as part of the mine countermeasures mission module of the service’s littoral combat ships.
