State Agencies Adopt Inrix Analytics Platform for Traffic Signal Monitoring - top government contractors - best government contracting event

Transportation agencies in a dozen U.S. states have implemented an Inrix analytics platform to manage traffic signal operations along road intersections and corridors.

Inrix said Friday cloud-based Signal Analytics technology provides state government users key metrics such as control delays, turn ratios and travel times using vehicle data for traffic management, engineering, operations and maintenance.

The offering includes dashboards and daily reports to display information about road network trends or challenges that could help operators gain insight into transport movements.

Customers in Texas, Oregon and Washington utilize Signal Analytics data in efforts to update traffic systems, reduce vehicle delays and quantify signaling benefits.

Scott Sedlik, senior vice president and general manager of Inrix’s public sector business, said the technology could support domestic transport agencies in signal system performance monitoring and management tasks without hardware.
