Perspecta’s applied research arm has received a potential 45-month, $18.5 million contract to develop a platform for long-range tactical radio communications under a Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency program. Perspecta Labs will build, prototype and test an adaptive distributed array system that works with unmodified tactical waveforms and existing tactical radios as part of DARPA’s Resilient Networked Distributed Mosaic Communications program.


Perspecta has been verified by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation as a third-party assessor of cloud products or services under the State Risk and Authorization Management Program. The ISO 17020:2012 accreditation permits Perspecta to conduct evaluations of cloud information technology offerings intended for state and local agencies, the company said Wednesday.


Perspecta’s research and engineering arm has received two contracts worth $8.1 million combined to provide prototyping support for the Department of Defense’s 5G testbed initiatives. Perspecta Labs secured a 36-month, $5 million contract to provide an end-to-end logistics security platform to support a 5G-driven “smart warehouse” at Naval Base Coronado in California, Perspecta said Monday.
