Will Grannis, CEO of Google’s public sector unit, wrote in a blog post published Wednesday the Army’s Workspace implementation project is one of the first collaborative efforts undertaken by the business since its launch in June.
The Department of Defense cleared in July the Workspace platform at Impact Level 4, a security authorization specific to the management of controlled unclassified information.
Google’s partnership with Accenture Federal Services is part of the Army Cloud Account Management Optimization contract. Sada acts as the implementation partner on the effort.
The Alphabet subsidiary also has projects with the Arizona State University and sensor provider Acclima to drive cloud technology adoption at educational and public sector organizations, Grannis noted.
